2018
- International Phytomedomics and Nutriomics Consortium (IPNC)
Synopsis
The International Consortium on Phytomedomics and Nutriomics (IPNC) organized was established in 2010. ICPN organized seven workshops during the International Conference on the Status of Plant and Animal Genome Research in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017. Deliberations in these workshops were focused on the concepts, strategies, tools and techniques of genomics for elucidation of the genomes of medicinal plants and nutraceutical crops, the genes underlying the production of phytomedicines and nutraceuticals and utilization of these information for improvement of production and quality of their contents. The 8th IPNC Workshop will include presentations on the recent developments in the fields of genomics, proteomics and breeding in medicinal plants and nutraceutical crops. Comprehensive discussions during the interaction meetings among the participants will emphasize on the development of a roadmap for collaborative research including formulation of the precise plan of actions for future research at global level on the IPNC platform and drafting of a white paper for that purpose.
